At Greendale Teahouse & Rooms, we believe in providing a delightful and comfortable experience tailored to your needs. Each room is thoughtfully equipped with a range of amenities to make your stay truly special. Here’s what you can typically expect in your room, noting that each room has its own unique character and layout.

Bathroom

At Greendale Teahouse & Rooms, we prioritise your comfort and safety. Whether you’re in one of our three en-suite rooms or enjoying the privacy of your allocated bathroom just down the corridor, you’ll find an array of amenities designed for your relaxation:

En-Suite Amenities: Enjoy the convenience of an en-suite bathroom (in three of our rooms), or a private bathroom located just down the corridor for your exclusive use.

Fluffy Towels: Luxuriate in our plush, fluffy towels that are sure to enhance your bathing experience.

Luxury Bathrobes: Available upon request, our thick bathrobes provide an extra layer of comfort for lounging.

Heated Towel Rail: Keep your towels warm and inviting, ensuring a delightful experience after your bath or shower.

Luxury Dispenser Hand, Hair & Body Wash: Experience indulgence with our luxury toiletries. In our drive for sustainability, we no longer offer hand, hair & body wash in single-use plastic bottles, so please refrain from removing these dispensers from the room.

Removable Handrail: For added safety, we can provide a secure handrail to offer extra grip when entering and exiting the bath. Just ask a member of our team, and we’ll install it for you.

Non-Slip Bath Mats: These are also available for your use during your stay. If you would like one, simply let a member of our team know.

Comfort & Climate

Your comfort is our priority at Greendale Teahouse & Rooms, and we’ve equipped each room to ensure a pleasant atmosphere throughout the year:

Central Heating: During the colder months, our automated central heating system operates from 06:30 to 22:30. You can easily adjust the thermostatic valve on the radiator in your bedroom to personalise the temperature to your liking. Out of respect for other guests, please do not adjust the thermostat in the corridor, please speak to us should you need temperature adjustment and we’ll do our best to help.

Cooling in Summer: For those warmer summer days, we provide desktop fans for your convenience, ensuring you can stay cool and comfortable.

Curtains: To help maintain a pleasant temperature, we recommend keeping the curtains closed on particularly warm or cold days.

Underfloor Heating: Your bathroom is equipped with underfloor heating, which activates automatically when the temperature drops below a certain level. Please note that this setting cannot be adjusted but can be switched off on request.

Iron & Ironing Board

We have an iron and ironing board available for you to use upon request. Just let us know if you need them, and we’ll happily bring them to your room.

Mini Bar

While we don’t have a mini bar service in any of our rooms, we do have an honesty bar downstairs where you can help yourself to a selection of soft drinks, Belgian beers (a nod to Michael’s heritage), and mini bottles of prosecco. We also keep a jug of complimentary fresh milk for your tea or coffee in there. Just jot down what you’ve had on the ‘honesty pad’, and we’ll sort out the total when you check out. The price list can be found in the menu holder, and there’s a bottle opener on top of the bar for your convenience.

If you’re after a bottle of wine, we’ve got you covered! We offer a variety of bottles (sorry, no wine by the glass outside our opening hours), and as an overnight guest, you’ll enjoy a 10% discount on bottles of red, white or rosé wine for consumption after hours. If you fancy something more special, an excellent cava or Pol Roger Champagne (no discount on these) can be pre-ordered, and we’ll make sure it’s ready for you during your stay. Additional bottles can’t be self-served, but we’re always happy to help!

Please note, because we’re licensed, we do ask that you refrain from consuming your own alcohol while we’re open. Once we’re closed, however, feel free to enjoy your drinks—just give us a heads-up, and we’ll provide the necessary glasses. Do take care though, as any spillages may incur a cleaning charge.

Room Features

Flat-Screen TV: each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV offering Freeview, a service that provides a wide range of viewing options so that you can enjoy over 100 channels of TV and radio. Available channels include popular options like BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, QVC, The Food Network, and many more.

There’s also an option to tune in to 26 digital radio channels, ensuring you can catch your favourite shows and music during your stay. Kindly observe our quiet hours between 22:00 - 07:00 out of respect for other guests.

Mirror: Get ready for your day in front of a picture frame mirror, a full size mirror is featured in our Deluxe King room.

Hair Dryer: A hair dryer is available for your use, you’ll find it stored in one of the bedside tables.

Wardrobe: Ample storage for your belongings is provided inside the wardrobe in your room. Extra hangers are available upon request.

Seating Area: Relax and unwind in your own comfortable seating area or chair.

Tea & Coffee Facilities

Your room includes a complimentary tea and coffee tray with everything you need for a cosy brew, including ground coffee for the cafetière, instant coffee, a selection of teas, and premium hot chocolate. You’ll also find a small flask of fresh milk and a bottle of filtered water for your convenience.

Feel free to refill your milk flask from the honesty bar downstairs. Your hospitality tray is refreshed daily, but if you need anything extra, don’t hesitate to ask!
